Nicolas Veas
Dr Nicolas Veas, is currently a surgeon at Universidad de los Andes, Chile (2006) where he is specialized in interventional cardiology with a focus on coronary heart disease, aortic stenosis and myocardial infarction. He also has a specialization in Internal Medicine from the University of Valparaiso, Chile and a specialization in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. From 2017 to 2019 he was a fellow of structural cardiology and complex angioplasty at Niguarda Hospital, Milan, Italy.
In 2016, he won the Eduardo Guarda Salazar award for the best paper published in the Revista Chilena de Cardiología with an investigation on the deterioration of coronary microvascular flow during primary angioplasty in cocaine-using patients.
